Accurate Elevation, KML Support & Smart Downloads

We've upgraded our elevation math, added support for KML files, and made GPX downloads smarter and more private.

    New Features

    • KML File Support: You can now import KML files directly into Randuro, just like GPX files.
    • Sanitized GPX Downloads: When you download a ride, you can now choose a "sanitized" version. This version keeps your track perfect but removes sensitive information (like exactly where you started or stopped near home) before sharing.
    • Legacy GPX Support: We now support older GPX files (version 1.0), ensuring your entire history of tracks can be brought into Randuro.

    Improvements

    • Precision Elevation: We've overhauled how we calculate climbs and descents. By combining Mapbox data with advanced smoothing, your uphill and downhill stats are now more accurate and reliable.
    • Better Map Insights: Ride statistics now remain visible on the map even when you're zoomed out, making it easier to see at a glance where you’ve been riding.
    • Polished Social Sharing: Link previews on social media and messaging apps (like WhatsApp or iMessage) now look better and more representative of your rides.
    • Full Emoji Support: You can now use your favorite emojis in ride names and descriptions without any issues. 🚵‍♂️✨
    • Seamless Language Experience: We've fixed internal links to ensure that once you pick a language, the app stays in that language consistently.

Randuro on Your Home Screen & Faster Maps

Install Randuro as an app on your phone, and enjoy a massive performance boost for ride browsing and tracking.

    New Features

    • App Mode (PWA): You can now save Randuro to your home screen. It behaves like a native app with a dedicated icon and startup screen, making it faster to jump into your rides without a browser.

    Improvements

    • Supercharged Maps: We’ve completely rebuilt our map engine. Long rides and complex tracks now load almost instantly, and panning/zooming across the map is buttery smooth.
    • Faster Navigation: The whole app feels snappier thanks to a major internal upgrade, reducing loading times across the board.
    • Better Garmin Sync: More robust processing for your Garmin activity files, ensuring your data is accurate even when GPS data is tricky.

Ride Finder by Location, Feedback Boost & steadier sync

Ask the bot for rides near you with style filters, plus smoother feedback sending and more reliable imports.

    New Features

    • "Near me" ride search: Tell Randuro Bot "near me" or name any place, set a radius, and it will pull your rides—or public ones if you want inspiration—around that spot.
    • Filter by vibe: Narrow results by ride style (XC, All-Mountain, Enduro, Bikepark), Single Trail Scale, and whether it’s an e-MTB day or analog, so suggestions match how you want to ride.
    • Improved Feedback: We've streamlined the feedback loop. Your suggestions and ride reports now land directly in our inbox so we can react faster to your needs.

    Improvements

    • Smarter local time detection: Whether you're riding in the Alps or across the world, Randuro now automatically detects the correct local time for your activity, even if your GPS file is missing timezone info.

    Ride Types, Single-Trail Difficulty & e-MTB Tags

Classify rides by style, add STS difficulty, auto-tag e-MTB uploads, and show your hometown on profiles.

    New Features

    • Ride type + Single Trail Scale: Choose XC, All-Mountain, Enduro, or Bikepark and log S0–S5 difficulty when editing a ride. If you skipped it, the ride page now nudges owners to tag the style and tech feel.
    • Analog vs e-MTB switch: Ride forms and public stats display whether the day was on an analog MTB or an e-MTB; Garmin imports prefill the flag from sport/subsport and activity type.
    • Profile location line: Profile headers now show the location you set (editable in Settings → Profile) so friends know where you roll from.

    Improvements

    • Privacy settings regrouped: Profile visibility lives in Profile settings, while the Privacy tab focuses on Zones only for a simpler mental model.
    • More accurate imports: Garmin webhooks map sport to ride types.
    • Emails and language polish: Welcome and magic-link emails got refreshed copy; alongside a broad translation sweep across app and marketing pages.

Privacy Zones, Native App Links & Warmer Welcome

Lock down home trails, stay signed in securely, and get smoother emails across web and the upcoming app.

    New Features

    • Privacy Zones Manager: Draw up to five keep‑out bubbles from the Privacy tab. Search an address, drag the Mapbox pin, set 150–2,000 m, and Randuro randomizes an extra trim so nobody reverse‑engineers your rollout point.
    • Private by Default + Security Hub: Settings now separates Privacy and Security. Flip one switch to hide your profile/activity, then review every signed‑in device and revoke old sessions without support.

    Improvements

    • Smarter Ride Timezones: When GPS files miss timezone info, Randuro cross‑checks Mapbox geocoding, region, and country data before falling back to UTC. Calendars and event times now match the trail clock.
    • Fresher Copy & Colors: Magic‑link emails, onboarding text, and the French locale got a rewrite (with cleaner type and contrast) to feel more human and readable.
