Rides
View your ride pages, control privacy, and edit details, photos, and notes.
This page explains what you can do on a ride page and how to edit your ride: privacy, map and stats, photos, notes, and key actions.
Viewing a ride
Open a ride to see a clean layout: header with title, date, and optional hero photo; an interactive map; and key stats (distance, time, elevation, speed) beside it. A distance chart sits below for effort at a glance. Lower down, photos bring the ride to life and Notes is where your story goes.
Private rides show a privacy banner to you (the owner). Public rides are visible to everyone.
Privacy and visibility
Every ride has its own visibility. Profiles start private, so rides stay with you unless you share them. Flip a ride between private and public from the action menu or while editing. Private rides show a banner to remind you. Learn more in Account & Privacy.
Privacy zones (hide your home)
Set privacy zones in Settings → Privacy to blur where you live or often start rides. Create up to 5 zones with a 150 m–2,000 m radius (400 m default). If a ride starts or ends inside a zone, Randuro trims those points and randomly shaves another 50–250 m to keep edges fuzzy. Visitors see the shortened line; you see dotted hidden segments. Previews, profile maps, and shared views all use the sanitized geometry after you edit zones.
Edit a ride
Use the Edit option in the ride’s action menu to change details. The editor is compact: Details for title/description/privacy; Photos to add or remove images; Notes for long‑form text. Only the owner can edit.
Ride types & difficulty
When you update a ride, pick the ride type and (if you rode it) log your Single Trail Scale impression. These power Explore badges and tell friends whether to bring a hardtail, enduro rig, or full-face. Curious how it works? Read Ride Types & Difficulty.
Actions on a ride
The action menu gathers everything: toggle privacy, compare calculated stats before updating, download the original file, or delete the ride if you’re sure you won’t need it.
Tips
Visibility isn’t final—change it anytime. Public rides surface on your public profile and across the community; private rides stay with you. If an import looks off, open Compare & Update Stats to reconcile values or upload the original file again via the command palette (⌘K/Ctrl+K → “Upload a ride”) or the Upload a ride tile on your rider page.
