Getting Started
Create your account, set up your profile, and learn the basics of navigating Randuro.
Welcome to Randuro — a privacy‑first mountain biking community. This short guide walks you through signing in, setting up your account, and finding your bearings. Device connections and file uploads live in the Integrations guide, so you can focus here on the essentials.
Sign in with a magic link
There are no passwords on Randuro. Head to the Sign In page, enter your email, and we’ll send you a magic link. Open the email and click the button to land back in Randuro — authenticated and ready to ride.
If the email doesn’t arrive, wait a moment and check your spam or promotions folder. You can always request a new link from the same page. Still stuck? Send us your thoughts via feedback.
Why magic links?
Magic links remove passwords entirely: no reuse, no resets, and less phishing risk. In Randuro, links expire after an hour, and you can review or revoke active sessions any time in Settings → Sessions. It’s fast, especially on mobile, and keeps your account independent of third‑party identity providers.
Set up your account
Open the user menu in the top-right of the header (your avatar on desktop, the menu on mobile), then choose Settings. Start with Settings → Account: pick a username for your public profile and select your preferred language (English or French). The page may briefly reload when you change language. Your email address is currently read‑only.
Then visit Settings → Public Profile to add a photo, your name, a short bio, and a location. Randuro is privacy‑first: new profiles start private, and you can toggle “Make profile private and hide activity” at any time. You also control visibility per ride later — public when you want to share, private when you don’t.
Sessions and security
You stay in control of where you’re signed in. In Settings → Sessions, you can review active sessions and revoke any you don’t recognize. Deleting the session marked “Current” signs you out on this device.
Connect devices or upload rides
When you’re ready to bring in your data, head to the Integrations guide. That’s where you’ll connect Garmin and learn about importing GPX/FIT files. We’ve kept this Getting Started page focused on account setup so you can get comfortable before syncing.
Explore the community
Browse fresh rides on Explore, then open your own profile from the header to see your stats and public page. Once signed in, head to Base Camp — your home base for quick stats, AI chat (beta), and handy shortcuts.
Join events
Discover upcoming rides and meetups on Events. You can create your own, browse the calendar, and participate in public events. For details on tracks, checkpoints, and participation, see Events documentation.
Privacy at Randuro
Privacy isn’t an afterthought — it’s the default. Your profile starts private, you choose what becomes public, and each ride can be shared or kept to yourself. We attribute device data where required and keep things honest and transparent. Learn more in our Privacy Policy.
